Fluid transport, faults and seals

See course info on Picture_766 - campus button

The Course gives insights to transport processes (especially oil and gas migration) in a porous, sedimentary system. The goal is to enable the students to quantitatively deal with transport problems based on temperature- and pressure driven processes.

Topics of the course are single- and multiphase flow, capillary processes, classification of seals and leakage processes, sealing efficency, storage capacity, catchment area and fill/spill scenarios.
