Nanoporosity overview

 
Using a combination of ion beam milling and SEM imaging gives insight into microstructures of delicate (hard to polish) samples. An area up to square millimeters can be investigated using a BIB ion gun, where features with a cross-section down to 5 nm can be imaged.
